Privacy

What this site collects,
which is very little.

Short because there is not much to say. No advertising, no tracking across sites, no data sold or shared, and no cookie banner — because there are no cookies that would require one.

What we collect

When you fill in a form

The contact form collects your name, email address, optional organisation, subject, and message. The newsletter form collects your email address. Both are handled by Netlify Forms, our host, and are used to reply to you and nothing else. They are not added to a marketing list, and they are not shared.

When you use one of the AI tools

Four tools on this site send what you give them to Anthropic's API to generate a response: the market map's insight generator, the Assistant Editor Essentials letter generator, and Social Studio. What you type — and, for Social Studio, the image you drop in — is sent to Anthropic to produce the reply, and comes straight back to you.

We do not store any of it. There is no database on this site. Nothing you put into a tool is retained after the response is returned, and nothing is logged against you.

Anthropic's own handling of that data is governed by their privacy policy.

Analytics

There is currently no analytics on this site at all. No script, no measurement, nothing.

If that changes, it will be a cookieless, privacy-preserving service that records aggregate page views without cookies, without cross-site tracking, and without personal data — which is why no consent banner would be required. This page will name the vendor before any such script ships.

What we do not do

  • No advertising or advertising networks
  • No cross-site or cross-device tracking
  • No selling, renting, or sharing of data with third parties
  • No social media tracking pixels
  • No cookies set by this site

Third parties that see a request

Three, and only when you interact with the relevant thing:

  • Netlify hosts the site and processes form submissions. Standard server logs apply.
  • Anthropic receives what you type into one of the AI tools, at the moment you use it.
  • Vimeo and the calibration instrument's host serve embedded players on two pages. Fonts are self-hosted, so no font CDN sees your visit.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. In practice the only thing we are likely to hold is an email you sent us. Ask and it will be deleted.
